Here it is Soccer fans this one's for you. Below is a combination of the best birthday and Christmas present wrapped up in one, insight on the six players most likely to be the leading goal scorer and emerge as the Premier League 2016/17 winner of the Golden Boot. Who you put your money on is your choice but here's help on increasing your odds of winning.
1. Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur (6/1)
Harry Kane is looking to improve his 25 league goals from last season with a Tottenham team with riches of young talent that will improve on last season's amazing third place finish. Now, with Tottenham finally buying a backup striker, he won't need to play every single cup game which will give him rest for the Premier League and the Champions League. With Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and PFA Young Player of the Year Dele Alli feeding him balls he can easily slot home 30 league goals this year.
Sergio Aguero - Manchester City (16/5)
Where do you even start with this guy. He is arguably the best striker in the world, best friends with Leo Messi and scored the GREATEST goal in Soccer History (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8_XyaZPWxo). If he is healthy there is no doubt he is going to win the golden boot. The man is unstoppable. He has amazing passers like Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and a quick Raheem Sterling to help him on the counter attack. But to think he will play 30+ games this year is delusional which is always the worry when betting on Augero.
Zlatan Ibrahimović - Manchester United (8/1)
It's time to preview the self proclaimed "God of Old Trafford" Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He finally made his way to the Premier League for his last hurrah in an elite European league, with his old manager Jose Mourinho by his side this can spur Zlatan to have an amazing season and especially now that they look like they are getting Paul Pogba to join their team. But even with his amazing record in other leagues I do not see him getting more than 16 goals this season and I would advise everyone to STAY AWAY from betting on him for any scoring award.
Romelu Lukaku - Everton (12/1)
Time to preview the one shock of the Top 5 favorites to win, Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian beast was once again one of the deadliest forces in the Premier League last year but he is inconsistent and plays on a very spotty Everton team that has to adapt to a new manager thus making him hard to support for the Boot. Even though he is a great player it is too risky at this time to bet for him to outscore Harry Kane or Sergio Aguero.
Diego Costa - Chelsea (16/1)
It's time to preview the Elephant Man. He is hard to support, imagine mixing your three least favorite athletes and that is Diego Costa. Playing on Chelsea he will get great chances to score at least 20 goals but he is very injury prone and is another risky bet. Stay away.
Jamie Vardy - Leicester City - (16/1)
Last but not least it’s the the WKD drinking, Arsenal snubbing striker Jamie Vardy. Six years ago this man was working in a factory and now has a Premier League medal and a new 100k a week contract with reigning Premier League champions Leicester City. But sorry to rain on Jamie Vardy's party but this year will be hard for his club to duplicate last years success and he will not be able to stay up in the scoring race so the Golden Boot will not be for Jamie.
So now out of these players you should whittle down the list to Harry Kane or Sergio Aguero but the deciding factor in this is the injuries Aguero has had in the past few seasons so I would have to put my money on Harry Kane of Tottenham to walk away with the Golden Boot.
Well, shit. The MLS lost. All because of that idiot Chris Wondolowski who still doesn't know how to kick a ball lower than 50 feet in the sky. But besides that the game itself was pretty much as expected, the big names in the MLS didn't try at all, the MLS's defense is still awful, and Arsenal fans are still silent. The only two important things to know about tonight is Arsenal's 18-year-old defender Krystian Bielik is the real deal. He looked very composed while guarding one of the greats of the game Didier Drogba and lastly, that Andrea Pirlo and David Villa are such ballers. Who the fuck leaves their own All-Star game early and takes a jet back to New York City and go sleep in their multi-million dollar apartments in SOHO. But in all seriousness it was a loss for the MLS brand as a whole for showing that once again the players don't care, and that many deserving players missed out for aging has-beens who don't deserve to have been on the team or that don't even care that they are on it. When will the MLS learn that the biggest names don't always get you wins? Shame on you MLS. Shame on you.
With tonight's MLS All-Star Game I thought I would do a quick write up about how to make some money this evening. First off, even though Arsenal are a top European Club don't be so sure they will win. They are without their best players Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, and their ONLY good defender Laurent Koscielny. While the MLS have great goal scorers in NYCFC's David Villa and Toronto FC's Sebastian Giovinco. In all of my years of watching this game, this is the best MLS team I've seen against a depleted and hurt Arsenal B team. But the bookies have not realized that the MLS are more equipped and prepared to win this match. If you are going to bet on this game I would bet on the MLS to win. But the one warning I would give is to stay away from the Over/Under because you never know whether Arsenal will take it seriously or use it as a team workout
As the international FRIENDLIES ARE PICKing UP AND THE PREMIER LEAGUE IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER I THOUGHT I WOULD ADDRESS the MASSES ON THE BIGGEST ISSUE IS SPORTS GAMBLING: BETTING ON A DRAW. MAYBE IT'S MY AMERICAN VIEWS COMING OUT BUT THIS NEEDS TO STOP. TO OPENLY WANT TO WIN MONEY ON A DRAW IS WILD AND LUDICROUS! I GET IT, GAMBLING ISN'T ABOUT FUN IT is ABOUT WINNING. BUT TO OPENly BET ON A DRAW IS FLAT OUT AWFUL. FIRST OFf, IT'S VERY HARD TO PREDICT ONE, BUT ALSO DRAWS ARE BORING AS FUCK! I'VE WATCHED THOUSANDS OF SOCCER GAMES AND I'VE WATCHED 2 DRAWS I'VE ACTUALLY ENJOYED. SO PLEASE, DON'T BET ON DRAWS. YOU WILL LOSE MONEY AND OF COURSE, YOU ARE BETTING ON THE MOST BORING and shitty outcome THAT CAN HAPPEN.
growing up seeing gareth bale (the worlds most EXPENSIVE player) play for tottenham everyone knew he was going to be a star. he EASILY would dominate the best league in the world and even his biggest haters knew he was worth every penny. but now 5 years after bale was sold for 85 million pounds a player who scored only 8 goals and 12 assists in 35 games is now worth 100 million. what fucking planet are these people living on. he is a great player but to say he is worth more than ronaldo or gareth bale is LUDICROUS. listen, i get it, this might sound like an angry old man complaining about cam newton but no it's different. This is just simply numbers.
As you can tell from the year tottenham sold gareth bale for 85 million pounds he had a SIGNIFICANTLY better year than pogba and on a team that wasn't even champions league quality. in conclusion, just because you are flashy and people can make vines of you scoring against bankrupt italian teams for half the season doesn't make you worth 100 million
1. LOVE YOUR CLUB BUT DON'T BE STUPID.
