The Champions League is back, and the parlays are better than ever! This is the match day when we see the teams that are contenders and the ones who are pretenders. After these games (including Wednesday) every team in the group would have played each other as we go into the final stretch of the group stages, who will win the group? Who will go down to the Europa League? And who will get nothing at all? After Match Day Three, we will start to get answers.
Borussia Dortmund vs Sporting Clube de Portugal - (+117)
Even though Dortmund aren't flying in the Bundesliga, they will get the job done against Sporting away from home due to their firepower. Everyone who has seen them play knows the type of power they have up front. With players like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mario Götze, and their new exciting signing Ousmane Dembélé they will score in this match, but the question is, how many. Even though Sporting are a hard team to beat at home, Dortmund are too powerful up front; I can see Dortmund winning in a high scoring game.
Sporting Predicted XI:
Patricio, Perreira, Coates, Semedo, Zeegelaar, Martins, Cesar, Silva, Carvalho, Ruiz, Dost
Dortmund Predicted XI
Burki, Sokratis, Schmeltzer, Piszczek, Ginter, Weigl, Castro, Dembele, Gotze, Aubameyang
Prediction: 4-1 Dortmund
Tottenham Hotspur vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen - (+250)
Even though Toby Alderweireld will be out for this game for Tottenham, I still think with Jan Vertonghen, Kevin Wimmer and Eric Dier they will have enough to fill the void left by the Best CB in the League (for now). As for Leverkusen, they are coming off a poor 2-1 loss SV Werder Bremen. The biggest factor in this match are the defenses because both teams have players who are in form and can hurt you. Tottenham has a better defense which is why I think Tottenham will win this in a close match.
Tottenham Predicted XI:
Lloris, Trippier, Wimmer, Vertonghen, Davies, Wanyama, Alli, Lamela, Eriksen, Son, Janssen
Leverkusen Predicted XI:
Brand, Henrichs, Toprak, Tah, Bende, Calhanoglu, Kampl, Aranguiz, Bradt, Mehmedi, Hernandez.
Prediction: 2-1 Tottenham
Sevilla FC vs Dinamo Zagreb - (-205)
Last year's Europa League Winners Sevilla are looking to beat Dinamo Zagreb to practically put them into the Knockout stages of the Champions League. Sevilla comes into this game in great form as they are third in La Liga (In front of Barcelona). When it comes to big European Matches, this team is one of the most experienced teams in the world, and I think they will win today and keep level with Juventus. Sevilla will win this game easily (DST Lock of the Day)
Zagreb Predicted XI:
Semper, Situm, Sigali, Schildenfeld, Pivaric, Antolic, Benkovic, Jonas, Soudani, Pavicic, Fernandez
Sevilla Predicted XI:
Rico, Mariano, Pareja, Mercado,Escudero, N’Zonzi, Franco Vazquez, Iborra, Vitolo, Nasri, Vietto
