It's Saturday which means one thing, we have a full slate of NHL hockey! The one game we will preview for the night is the New York Rangers against the Florida Panthers in beautiful Florida (also known as New York 2.0).
New York Rangers @ Florida Panthers
The New York Rangers are finally showing their skill as they are coming off a huge uplifter of a performance as they beat the red-hot Tampa Bay Lighting 2-1 in overtime. Obviously, they weren't perfect, their defense is still giving away stupid mistakes, but with the overall play of Kevin Shattenkirk, JT Miller, Pavel Buchnevich, and Mika Zibanejad the Rangers truly are dangerous going forward. When you also add they are going up against the Panthers who have the worst home defense in the NHL with an average of 4.43 goals conceded, they will have loads of confidence. Due to both of these teams having poor defenses, I see this going the over even at six rather than the normal 5.5. But when it comes to the money line, I only see one winner, and that's the Rangers, because their defense is better, and in these incredibly open games, that is always going to be the deciding factor. It may be a close one, but the away boys will get it done.
Prediction: 4-3 Rangers
