February as come to a close as we had another extremely special month of Premier League football. We had some fantastic performances, great matches, a cup final and many more. We are here to give out four awards that will make sure that this month will never be forgotten. To see last month's awards, click here!
Manager Of The Month
Two managers had months where they didn't slip up, and they were Ronald Koeman and Antonio Conte. Both had months where they didn't lose, but Everton and Koeman just completely looked change than what they were at the start of the year. With Romelu Lukaku, Séamus Coleman and Idrissa Gueye all bang in form, this might not be the last time he get's this reward. In four games this month they have eight points (two wins and two draws) against teams with an average league positioning of 15th. I see Everton finishing the season strong and maybe even getting into the Europa League.
The Alan Pardew Memorial Award
Uh oh, I know before I even write this it's going to get me a lot of hate but Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool has been extremely poor all month. I understand they beat Spurs at home but for a team who has one of the "Best managers in the world" and was supposed to finish above Tottenham and Arsenal to go a month where they had three points and lose to a relegation contender in Leicester (without a manager) and lost to Hull City is embarrassing. I like Klopp but I would be worried if maybe Liverpool's poor defense is catching up to him. They dropped the ball not getting Virgil van Dijk.
Breakout Star Of the Month
We had a lot of great players this month shock the Premier League and showed the world their talent but no other than my newest love (obviously, not as much as Tony Pulis) the Italian Striker Manolo Gabbiadini.
As I predicted, Manolo Gabbiadini has been a revelation at Southampton as he has five goals in three games in all competitions since his move to St Mary's. He has completely changed Southampton as they look faster, more lethal and seem like a team who can be a real pain for teams to play for the rest of the season. If he keeps playing like this and getting consistent goals and higher than 8/10 match ratings, I see teams like Tottenham and Arsenal maybe splashing the cash for him as his skill set is completely different than a Harry Kane or Olivier Giroud. Let's not forget he does this all while looking like a man who hasn't slept in 10 years.
Note: If you play Ultimate Team, get his One To Watch, it's godly.
Player of The Month
Romelu Lukaku was world class this month, the Belgian striker played four matches, with five goals and an average rating of 7.8. Everton and Lukaku have both been inconsistent in the past, but Lukaku is now tied for the most goals in the Premier League as he is not just raising his game but also the players around him. This weekend will be a massive game for him as he will go up against the other prolific 23-year-old in Harry Kane. But which one would you rather want? No matter who you would pick you can't take away what Lukaku has done during the month of February.
