It has been a whirlwind of a week for Spurs as they took down the back to back Champions Leagues winners in Real Madrid than grinded out a huge win against Crystal Palace to go into the International Break on a high. Now with their next few games very favorable which of their players will be worth taking the chance on to keep on your fantasy team? We are here to answer those questions for you.
Next Seven Matches:
West Brom (H)
Manchester City (A)
Note: No Harry Winks talk as he is so lowly used in FPL (If you want more info on him, DM us on Twitter at DST_Tweets)
Dele Alli missed Spurs' match against Crystal Palace with a hamstring injury, and now it has forced him to not go to England International duty for their matches against Brazil and Germany. As a pessimist, I was shitting myself. Finally, Dele was back and firing on all cylinders, and this happens!?! Luckily, Mauricio Pochettino said this in an interview about his team's injuries "It's a very, very, very small thing. It was a massive risk (to play him) again. We're sure he'll be ready for Arsenal (after the international break). We hope he's doing well in the next few weeks and will be available.". Then he went on to say Dele will be fit for the North London Derby, even though after Poch's "Danny Rose will be out for one-month" comments I still trust/believe him in that Dele will be back which will be a huge boost as last season he was amazing against their rivals. If you are one of 20% of people that have him on your team, don't be alarmed, Dele is A-okay!
Harry Kane was pulled out of the England squad for a precautionary reason as he has been dealing with a few knocks, but don't worry; he is okay. I am very confident if these games were crucial for England he would play, but playing two friendlies against teams that are miles better than England, what's the point? Kane is the one player you need on your team, first off, he has killed Arsenal, he has an incredible scoring record against them, so he needs to lead the line for your team next matchday. Also, two other teams that he has his best scoring record against is, in fact, Leicester and Watford, so I suspect him to score at least eight goals during these next seven matches (probably more). Lastly, if you are spending big on Kane, who will you replace him with? His biggest competitor is Romelu Lukaku, and he is dry as the Sahara right now. If you take Kane out, you will regret it.
Note: He will be captaining my squad
The Left-Back Dilemma
Now with Danny Rose making a comeback to Tottenham's first team and the English National Team, the race is on for who will start in the North London Derby for Spurs, him or Ben Davies? If you are a Spurs fan you have probably seen my breakdown of who I think should start a couple of weeks ago (click here). Spoiler alert, I said Ben Davies, but against Arsenal and how well Rose has done in his past, I think Poch will go with the England International. Even though Ben Davies is safer, and better defensively Rose is a lot better going forward. Regardless, should you use any of them in your FPL team? No, you shouldn't if you want to get with a Tottenham defender for your team go with Jan Vertonghen. This battle is amazing for Spurs but AWFUL for FPL players as Poch will change and swap these two all season (or until Rose gets sold in January most likely) so stay away for now.
