The MLS team, the New York Red Bulls, thought they would join Twitter and share their goodbyes and respects for Chelsea legend Frank Lampard. The team based out in Harrison New Jersey had the great idea to shock the world and posted this.
For people who can't see the tweet, it is Red Bull player Mike Grella nutmegging the Chelsea star when he was at NYCFC. After this posted, the hate for the MLS team went OFF the RAILS. Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and even Tottenham fans were defending Lampard from a harmless and funny tweet from an MLS team. Which BLEW my mind. First off, if you support any team besides Chelsea or NYCFC, why are you defending him? I don't give a shit about any legend beside the ones on my team especially when you support a rival top team. As a Spurs supporter, I hate the fact that people who support Spurs, Arsenal or United can defend someone they should hate. I would understand if it was a mean and offensive tweet, but it wasn't. It was a fringe U.S. player who nutmegged Lampard. If you feel a need defend him if you aren't a Chelsea fan you don't understand the rivalry or don't understand comedy because this was hilarious. Congrats Red Bulls, keep up the good work!
