How are we going to top last night? Oh, my God. Auston Matthews is making history with four goals in his first NHL game as he looks to Make America and Toronto Great Again. Also, Shoutout Brassard for getting me a big goal in my Daily Fantasy Team yesterday (Writing this middle of Sharks game, so yeah.... UPDATE: Brent Burns also Scored!). Well, I don't like intros (and I am not too good at them) so let's get it started! Day Two!
Henrik Lundqvist (G): New York Rangers - 8,100
Many people believe the days of Lundqvist being an elite goaltender are over but trust me, Hank is going to have an amazing game tomorrow. With Jimmy Vesey joining, Pavel Buchnevich looking promising and the team spirit high, the Garden will be BOUNCING tomorrow, and there aren't many players who feed off the crowd more than Henrik Lundqvist. Also, on a more professional note, the Islanders seem a bit confused with their lines as they waived P. A. Parenteau. With the confusion in the Islander camp and the Ranger looking ready to go, this will get the DST mortal lock of the week as Lundqvist and the Rangers will have a great night.
Henrik Lundqvist Career Stats vs Islanders: GP: 53, W: 29, L: 17, OTL: 6, GAA: 2.22, SV%: .921, SO: 5
Keith Yandle (D): Florida Panthers - 5,000
Even though the New Jersey Devils are a better team than they were last year, I don't think Cory Schneider will be able to stop Yandle, Barkov and Huberdeau which is why I think the Panthers will win this game. Which means Yandle will have a big role to play as their goal scoring defender and that's exactly why he will do tomorrow. Lastly, he has a great record against the Devils.
Keith Yandle's Career Stats vs Devils: GP:13, G:1, A:9, SOG:39
Mark Scheifele (C): Winnipeg Jets - 6,300
Mark Scheifele is set for an amazing year (and fantastic game) as he is playing as the Jets top center with Blake Wheeler and Nikolaj Ehlers. With these players with him tonight as they go up against a bad Carolina Hurricanes team. I see him and his line mates going off on them tonight and this will be a MUST watch line for the season ahead.
Mark Scheifele's Career Stats vs Hurricans: GP:6, G:0, A:3, SOG:7
