After a great day of Draft Kings on Saturday where we cracked the top 25 in the Draft Kings "50k Sniper Challenge", we now look forward to a night of hockey with only four NHL games. There aren't many teams/players to choose from (obviously) but once again we found the top three players to take that will help you bring home the dough.
Marc-André Fleury (G): Pittsburgh Penguins - 8,000
Usually, I like to go with more of a cheaper goalie, but when there are only four games, you need to suck up the price and go for a guaranteed win. Even though Fleury isn't the most consistent goalie, his team at home should be beating the Colorado Avalanche (with Calvin Pickard in net). To make matters even better for the Penguins, Fleury has a stellar record against Colorado as he has started 12 games against them and has nine wins and has a .920 save percentage. With how good the Penguins are at home (26-11-4 last season) and Marc's great start to the year, he is a great buy for 8k.
Dustin Byfuglien (D): Winnipeg Jets - 6,500
The Winnipeg Jets and Dustin Byfuglien host the Boston Bruins which will be an all out goal fest. The Bruins are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and it seems now they have one of the weakest defenses in the East as Chara is getting older and Rask looks terrible. According to Claude Julien, Rask will be playing which bodes well for Byfuglien. Even though, the Bruins have the skill to score goals I do not think they have the ability to stop the Jets who have some young and dangerous forwards (more on this later). Lastly, if history shows anything, Dustin WILL have a big night as he has 17 points in 19 games against the Bruins (6 goals and 11 assists). I am putting the DST Lock of the Day (Patent pending) on Byfuglien keeping his point a game streak this season going.
Blake Wheeler (W): Winnipeg Jets - 7,000
Listen, I know I am putting most of my eggs in one basket with Winnipeg, but after this breakdown, you will be right with me. Blake Wheeler has started the year on fire with two goals and two assists. As I mentioned before they are going up against a pretty weak Bruins defense and now it looks like Patrice Bergeron might be out for this game, which will be a HUGE benefit as Patrice Bergeron would most likely be paired to go against Wheeler and the first line of the Jets. Also, just like his teammate Dustin Byfuglien, Wheeler has a history of scoring against Boston as he has 11 points (five goals and six assists) in 14 games. To be honest, many people (I was one) totally forgot about Blake Wheeler as for the most part he went under the radar last season (even though he has 78 points), but not anymore, Blake is coming for your asses, big season ahead for the American.
Remaining Salary: 28,500
