We are back! Yesterday we took a day off to focus on the Premier League due to only have three NHL games last night, but with a full schedule of games tonight there is huge money to be made. Tonight we will be looking at two games, one from each conference. If you want to stay up to date on our site, follow us on Twitter at DST_Tweets.
New York Rangers @ Buffalo Sabres - [-135]
It has been a rough year for fans of Henrik Lundqvist as he is finally showing signs of slowing down and aging as he was once again pulled in a game, as the Rangers are coming off a disappointing 6-4 loss to the Blue Jackets. In saying this, going into this game, I think the Rangers will be motivated to win and most importantly, matchup very well against the Sabres. The Sabres Achilles heel all season has been their issue to score five on five and their abysmal penalty kill. The Rangers, who will have to be wary of the Sabres' top five power play will still be confident due to their 2nd ranked offense and their 14th ranked power play. This game will come down to penalties, whichever team is on the penalty kill the most will most likely lose, but if this game stays even strength for the majority of the game, the Rangers will win.
Fun Fact: Henrik Lundqvist has a career save percentage of .915 against the Sabres with two shutouts.
We Still Believe in you Hank
Chicago Blackhawks @ Arizona Coyotes - [-153]
The Chicago Blackhawks are off to Arizona to play their second game of this long road trip where they are going to play six (now five) away from home. This game is going to be high scoring; you have two goalies who statistically don't do too well against the other team. Mike Smith has played 15 games against the Hawks and has seven wins, eight losses, 2.93 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. Corey Crawford hasn't played great against the Yotes in his career as he has a save percentage of .890 Save Percentage and a Goals Against Average of 2.88, but the difference is he still gets wins as in 12 games started he has seven wins, two losses, two overtime losses and one no contest. This game could be sloppy with these goalies but the skill is going forward and at the blue line is favoring the Hawks.
