Edmonton Oilers vs Boston Bruins - (+120)
The Edmonton Oilers are 5-2-3 going into their game against the Bruins and even though they are away from home, they still should be favorites. The Bruins are 9-9-0 at home this season which is in the bottom 10 in the entire NHL. Besides their 17th ranked Penalty Kill the Oilers are having a good season across the board as they are 12th in Goals Per Game, 10th in Goals Against and are a top 10 Power Play with players like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The fact the Bruins are home making me more confident in the Oilers which is why I am going with the away team.
Columbus Blue Jackets vs Washington Capitals - (+115)
Tonight is the night, the Columbus Blue Jackets with a win will tie the Pittsburg Penguins for the longest streak in the history of the NHL with 17 wins. One of the bigger changes this season for the Jackets is Sergei Bobrovsky. Last season he couldn't stop anything, and now his team is first in goals against in the NHL. They are also second in the NHL in goals per game while the Caps are just 11th. The biggest factor is the special teams; the Blue Jackets have the best power play and the Caps have the third best penalty kill. Whoever wins this battle, will win the game. This will be close, but I am going with the hotter team. Jackets to keep the streak alive!
Carolina Hurricanes vs St. Louis Blues (1.5) - (+190)
The Blues are coming off their big win in the NHL Winter Classic as they beat the Blackhawks 4-1. On the other hand, the Hurricanes, lost their last game 3-1 to the Devils as it was they're second last in a row at the same 3-1 score line. Even though the Canes have a decent 12th rated defense, their goals per game are sub-par as they are 19th in the league. The Blues have a different problem; they have a bad defensively but a top 10 offense. The Blues are just too good, and the Canes are too inconsistent with their offense.
