Our NHL Picks are back tonight as we have a massive number of games and as always there are a couple that are bound to get us all some major money. Tonight, we have picked an Eastern Conference clash and a West Coast matchup between the East and the West. So sit back, relax and rack up the cash before St Patty's Day.
Florida Panthers @ Columbus Blue Jackets - [-165]
The Columbus Blue Jackets host the struggling Florida Panthers in our DST Lock Of The Night (patent pending). The Blue Jackets go into this game 7-2-1 in their last 10 with a home record of 4-0. The Panthers, on the other hand, are 2-7-1 in their last ten with an away record of 1-1. Even though these teams are usually competitive against each other, I can't see this game being that close. With the Panthers not having Aaron Ekblad and Roberto Luongo, they just won't be able to stop the Jackets offense that is fourth in the league and sixth on the power play.
Boston Bruins @ Edmonton Oilers - [-105]
The Bruins try to go 3-0 on their Western Conference trip as they go up against the Edmonton Oilers tonight. The first thing that pops out to me is how hot the Boston Bruins have been. The B's are 8-2 in their last ten, with 4-1 away from home, 1-0 as the underdog and is also 9-3 all season away from home against Western teams (and 4-2 as the underdog). In the last ten games between these teams, the Bruins are 6-1-3 with an average of 3.40 goals per game (compared to the Oilers 2.30). They also double the amount of power play goals even though they have had five fewer chances than Edmonton. All signs are pointing to the Bruins winning, and I am hammering them tonight.
