What a month December was in the Premier League! By far the most exciting and eventful month of the season so far. We have had winning streaks, gorgeous goals, amazing performances and even lost some old friends along the way. But one thing is certain; the Premier League is the best league in the world so as always we have four awards to perfectly sum up the final month of 2016 in the Premier League.
Manager of the Month
Usually, you can debate these awards but this time you just can't by far there is only one man who can get manager of the month and it is Antonio Conte of Chelsea.
What a month it was for Chelsea, they won all six Premier League games as they scored 13 and only conceded three during this time. This is domination at its FINEST. They are riding high on top of the league as they seem no one can stop them. If they beat Tottenham on Wednesday, they even break a record for 13 wins straight in the Premier League. For these reasons, there was only one man who could get this.
The Alan Pardew Memorial Award
One of the saddest moments of this month was we lost Alan Pardew. I loved him, every time something went wrong in my life I always said to myself "well at least Alan Pardew isn't managing my club, " and now he is gone. Hopefully never to be seen again. Since it seemed like every month he got an award for the worst manager for now on the "Worst Manager" will be named this. God Speed Pardew, God Speed.
The Winner is Hull City's Mike Phelan.
This hurts to give this award to Mike Phelan because it's not his fault the owners of Hull City is a complete and utter moron. Even though everyone should feel bad for him you can't take away how poor their form was in the month of December they won none, drew two and lost four. It wasn't just the lack of points it was also their goal differential was -10 which is awful. For their sake, I hope these Samuel Eto'o are true because they are fucked.
Goal of the Month
This one is pretty easy; it was the gorgeous goal form Henrikh Mkhitaryan! This goal is so beautiful I will just stop talking and leave it here....
Player of The Month
Last month, we had three players that exceeded everything they needed to do for their club and risen up and were consistently world class. Those players are, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Christian Eriksen, and Alexis Sánchez. But the one who went even more above and beyond is Manchester United's Zlatan Ibrahimović.
What a month for Zlatan Ibrahimović! He was Manchester United's best player and their source of most of their goals and major moments. Zlatan had five goals, three assists, two Barclays Man of the Matches and an average match rating of 7.84. So many times this month we saw Manchester United stuck in matches and it was usually a big pass or a big goal fromt the Swede to help them over to the line as they now seem contenders for the top four.
