It was a rough week for your boy after Spurs beat Liverpool as the Rangers are shitty, the weather sucks, and of course, Tottenham lost to West Ham on Wednesday by choking a 2-0 lead in the second half to lose 3-2. Oh, it gets worse, I was in class when Angelo Ogbonna scored the winner, and I honestly fell out of my chair...So yeah, I NEED a good weekend, and we will as we are back with THREE Premier League picks.
Tottenham Hotspur F.C. @ Manchester United F.C.
Manchester United: (+124)
Tottenham is coming off quite possibly the most typical Spurs thing ever. They go from drawing the best team on earth and destroying Liverpool than choking to West Ham as they were knocked out of the EFL Cup. Now they go to the boring and struggling Manchester United at Old Trafford, and now this game becomes a must-win for both teams. For United, they are coming off a shock loss to Huddersfield Town as they look boring and now seem like they are falling behind their rivals Manchester City for the title. Tottenham and United are both tied for second with 20 points, and honestly, I think Spurs have the advantage, Tottenham is so good going forward they can score against everyone. For the home team, they might not have Marcus Rashford, and can Lukaku finally score against a big club for his new team (especially against the best defense in the league)? Regardless, I think it will be an exciting game as we all wake up hungover at 7:30 AM. But I do think Spurs will get it done (then lose next week), because well...Tottenham.
Post Write Up Note: Kane may not be 100% for this game....All speculation though.
Prediction: 3-1 Spurs
Chelsea F.C. @ A.F.C. Bournemouth
Both Chelsea and Bournemouth are coming off successful EFL Cup matches as the Blues took down the broken down Everton and the Cherries beat the second division club, Middlesbrough thanks to a penalty. Even though both teams look good in those matches, I see this being so one-sided. We have seen the one weakness Chelsea has is their issue to break down tough defenses, and no offense to Eddie Howe and Bournemouth, that isn't what they are known for...It's quite the opposite. Some club have a weakness against teams who go at them, like Arsenal, United, and Liverpool but with Chelsea's tough defensive structure, you need to be able to stop their attack, and with how bad Eddie Howe has shown he is at defensive management, I don't see this being close at all. I hope I'm wrong, but I won't be.
Prediction: Chelsea 3-0
Stoke City F.C @ Watford F.C.
Over the past nine months, there hasn't been a better managerial rise than Watford's boss Marco Silva as he went from the relegated Hull City and is now bringing Watford to new heights as they are in sixth place. Right now, the biggest factor in this match is the home form of this team, as they have most notably taken out Arsenal. Watford is coming off a loss to Chelsea which honestly, wasn't fair, as they should have got at least a point but I see them getting back on the horse as they go up against the always inconsistent Stoke City. Stoke have one win in five matches with the other four games being loses and they just look like complete shit. This is a pretty easy bet, Watford is on fire, and they will win again.
Prediction: 2-0 Watford
