As we look at the top five CAM's in the Premier League you have a lot to consider, like what do you want from your CAM? Do you like more of an assist man, goal scorer or a second striker? For me, the most important thing is how they make the striker and the wide midfielders gel, that in my opinion is what makes the best CAM's who they are. Now, Let's get into it.
Side Note: David Silva has morphed into a CM more than a CAM so he is not eligible for this list.
5. Philippe Coutinho - Liverpool F.C.
The 5th and 4th spot were between him and Eriksen, I think even though he scores more goals, I still think Eriksen is a complete player (but we will go into that later). Coutinho is still a bit inconsistent and has the chance to go missing in some games. Even though he has improved that this season I don't think he is ready to be above these four but maybe in more time, he can be. If he can work more on his consistency, he will be right up there. If he can keep up his average rating of 7.81, he will be higher in no time.
4. Christian Eriksen - Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
Christian Eriksen is a very frustrating player at times like Philippe Coutinho; he can score fantastic goals, but when things don't go his way, he is pretty much invisible. Eriksen has been on the world stage ever since he was just a teenage ager at Ajax (before all the hair plugs). Eriksen has started the year with a 7.17 Match Rating and has slowly been getting back to his usual self. Even though him and Coutinho are in the top 5, they need to become more consistent to be even close to the top 3.

3. Dimitri Payet - West Ham United F.C. (shit)
First off, I promised myself after more than a month without them winning a Premier League Match until West Ham wins a game, they will get "(shit)" next to their name. Hammers, don't get mad at me, your team is shit. Now let's get into Payet.
Payet is an incredible talent and if you didn't see him last year for West Ham, you 100% did for France as he was one of the main stars of the runners up in the Euros this summer. Payet is everything for West Ham; he scores free kicks, amazing strikes and assists as he is truly the most valuable player for his team in the Premier League. He started the year with an excellent 7.86 Match Rating and will probably get that up as he is an amazing talent. I feel bad for Payet for two reasons; he is too good to be at West Ham (Will go to PSG Soon) and of course; he's too good to be number three, but sadly for him, the top two are just so fucking good.
2. Mesut Özil - Arsenal F.C.
Mesut Özil is not just one of the best CAM's in the league but in the world. He has started the season well for Arsenal as it has peaked with a Man of The Match performance again Chelsea as they won 3-0 (8.75 Match Rating that game). This season as a whole he has a 7.86 Average Match Rating and that should go up as the season picks up. Mesut is the best assist-man in the league, but that doesn't make him the best CAM, even though he is number two, I understand if you think he should be number one.
1. Kevin De Bruyne - Manchester City
KDB was on fire for Manchester City before he was injured as he was the main reason they had won every match before last weekend (didn't play). Even though his assist record isn't as great as Ozil, KDB still has a great passing completion percentage (83.4%). KDB also scores more goals and is the master of linking up play (Watch the Highlights of Manchester City vs. Bournemouth, you are welcome). He constantly shows why he is THE best player in the Premier League right now and when he comes back from injury Manchester City will be back to killing teams for fun.
Tomorrow we will have the best Right Midfielders/Wings in the Premier League, so if you want to get involved tweet us at DST_Tweets and of course give us a follow! Much Love.
