As we look to last midfield position of this Power Rankings segment, this one was kind of hard. Some (you could guess) are obvious picks but to be honest; there aren't many true great RM/RW in the Premier League now that so many CAM's can morph into that role. In saying this, we still made the best list you can do for this position so, let's get into it.
5. Xherdan Shaqiri - Stoke City
This is a VERY distance 5th. In my opinion, this spot is between him and Henrikh Mkhitaryan but sadly, José Mourinho just flat out doesn't play him enough. Stoke has had an atrocious start to the year as they are in 19th place, but Shaqiri still has an average match rating of 6.88. The issue I have with him, is that he isn't consistent, and sometimes he seems like he doesn't want to be playing in England (who would be on Stoke right now) but with this and how much he gets injured, this fifth spot is closely his, but he isn't even a stones throw from the fourth man.
4. Michail Antonio - West Ham United F.C. (Shit)
Michail Antonio and Payet are the only two players that have consistently played well for West Ham upfront, and the Englishman deserves a call-up. Last year and this year he has had an incredible Match Rating of 7.35. Antonio is an extremely strong forward who has an eye for goal (five already this year) also; he is versatile enough to play RB as West Ham has used him in that role many times over the last two seasons. He is a superb player; West Ham should be happy to have him.
3. Érik Lamela - Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
Erik Lamela has started the year very well as he finally looks at home at Tottenham Hotspur. Erik Lamela is still a frustrating player at times (penalty miss vs. Manchester City) but not many attacking players will press the opponents back line and will run back to help out the defense. For these reasons is why he has a 7.62 Match Rating as a Right Midfielder and in a more advanced roles it goes up to 7.91 Match Rating. If Lamela can work on his goal scoring and decision making, he will go up this list.
2. Riyad Mahrez - Leicester City F.C.
Riyad Mahrez is coming off of a perfect season for Leicester City as he won the Premier League and had the honor of winning the Premier League Player of the Year. His summer was mostly about where and not when he was going to leave Leicester as many people thought he was going to move to Arsenal. I just need to be honest here; he might be a one season wonder; he has started the year with a 6.77 Average Match Rating for the Premier League which is dog shit for someone coming off such a historic season. I put him second due to last season, but if he wants to stay here, he needs to start playing better because Mahrez and Leicester have been disappointing.
1. Willian - Chelsea F.C.
Last year while Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, and Oscar were letting down Chelsea, Willian was the one who gave it his all and regularly delivered for the blues. Willian has an average 7.67 Average Rating as a right midfielder, and it goes up to a crazy 8.51 when playing as the right forward next to Diego Costa. Any Chelsea fan will tell you how fantastic this player is and will most likely be their player of the season again.
