It was one of the best match days of the season as we had derbies, goals (gorgeous ones at that), mind blowing results, and of course, a few players that had world class games. This blog is to celebrates those players. As always, if you want to tell us your three stars of this match day, let us know by leaving a comment or tweeting the blog at DST_Tweets.
Third Star: Peter Crouch - Stoke City F.C.
In a million years I never would have believed that Peter Crouch would be in one of these three stars, but this weekend he totally deserved it as his team won 3-1 against Sunderland. Crouch was crucial in every way as he had four clearances, won 84 percent of his aerial duels, had two key passes (one was an assist) and a goal. It is hard for a striker to make contributions on both sides of the pitch but Crouch did. Peter ended the match with a match rating of 10/10 and the Man of The Match.
Second Star: Marcos Alonso Mendoza - Chelsea F.C.
With Diego Costa out for the game against ex-champions Leicester City, they needed a player to step up and lead them to victory away from home, but no one would have thought the man with a brace and the winning goal today was going to be Marcos Alonso. Alonso had the ideal wing back performance, his two goals had a 79% passing percentage, three interceptions, two clearances and even three blocks. The Spanish Left Wing Back was superb today which is why he ended the match with a 9.63 match rating and the Man of The Match. Exactly what he needed after losing the battle against Kyle Walker.

First Star: Harry Kane - Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
Harry Kane is back in the golden boot race after his stellar performance against West Bromwich Albio. Kane was stellar in this match and so dominant that scoring three goals was the MINIMUM he was going to get in this match. He had countless world class shots saved by Ben Foster. Besides his three goals, he all-around had a fantastic game with 11 shots, 76% passing percentage and two successful take on. Kane and Tottenham were so good thatBen Foster called Tottenham "The best team they have played" . He ended the match with a perfect 10 match rating and the Barclays Man of The Match.
