In our last two picks, we are 2-0! Now we will make it 3-0 with another fantastic pick as we focus on the final match in this tight group as with a win Colombia may finish in first (same for Senegal, but I bet on Colombia to finish top, so I care more about that). We will break down everything to get your ready for this match at 10 AM Eastern Standard Time! Enjoy!
Colombia @ Senegal
Going into some of the third games, motivation is usually a worry for many gamblers, as some teams have qualified, some teams want to finish second for matchup reasons (this is why you don't bet on England vs. Belgium today), and just teams usually rotate. This is not going to be the case with this match for both teams. Columbia and Senegal both need a result to make sure they go through, and especially Colombia as they were shocked by Japan in their first game. Luckily for both teams, with Japan facing a dead Poland team (who can still be dangerous), it's not shocking to think both of these teams can go through in the group. Just thinking about this game though its hard to overlook this Colombia team, they are strong defensively, in the middle and going forward, they truly are one of the teams that can shock major teams in the knockout stages. I just think going down their attack they are too strong for a Senegal defense which usually goes too offensive, and even with Mane for Senegal I think the likes of Arias, Sanches, and Ospina can help stop a lot of their goal opportunities, this will be a great game for the neutral but Colombia will win.
Prediction 2-0 Colombia.
It's been a while! Last week I injured my shoulder and was on bed rest all week so that I couldn't blog! Then yesterday our website had an issue with uploading blogs, but if you follow us on Twitter you saw we picked Uruguay Money Line! Today we will preview Croatia vs. Iceland as one team tries to go 3-0 this knockout stage and one tries to keep the pressure on and maybe sneak in, even though that is a very very slim chance.
Croatia vs Iceland
Congrats to Croatia! They have truly turned many heads as after their strong and versatile midfield tore Messi and Argentina apart they now look like one of the favorites to win the tournament with so many of the top teams showing flaws. Going into this game, Croatia has already wrapped up a spot in the knockout stages, but they will try to lock up the group and go into the next round on good form. IN this game we know for a fact Rebic and Rakitic won't play but rumors are the rest of their top midfielders and defenders will be given a good run out. Even though I was wrong about Iceland against Argentina, I just think the midfielder and the compact style of defense of Croatia will be too much, and they will be beaten on the counter, it may not be the prettiest game, but Croatia will get it done.
Prediction: 1-0 Croatia
After a day off for fathers day, we are back for another DST World Cup Preview! We have the always exciting but disappointing England against considerable underdogs in Tunisia. I am going to start the preview now because, to be honest, I don't even know what continent Tunisia is on.
England (-1.25) vs Tunisia
Match Odds (Spread)
England -1.25: (+105)
Tunisia +1.25: (-125)
For England, this is surprisingly a massive game and could make a statement. With Germany, Spain, Argentina and Brazil all pulling an England, the Three Lions now have the chance to not be the biggest laughing stock in World Football. Going into this game, the gap between the teams is large, this group is very top heavy with England and Belgium, and it looks like it will come down to that game to see who will win this group. IN saying that, I wouldn't give it to Belgium right away, as England have some pretty dangerous players, and they will look to prove a point in this match. The main one is Harry Kane, he once again had an amazing season with Spurs, as he will now look to erase the wrongdoing at Euro 2016 and bang in a few goals. For Tottenham, Kane sometimes like to pick on the smaller teams to get his season rolling, I see him doing this in this match as Tunisia's defense isn't good enough to stop him, Dele, Sterling, and others getting into dangerous spaces, and when Kane is in those areas, it is a guaranteed goal. England -1.25 is an incredibly smart bet. So take it.
Prediction: 3-0 England
We had a bit of a setback today/yesterday as we pushed on our Uruguay bet which now has us 1-1-0 for our World Cup blogs. Now we will get back to our winning streak with a big preview of Argentina vs. Iceland as Messi will battle the 2016 underdog story of the year.
Argentina vs Iceland
First off, before I start, did anyone think this photo above was a ram? Yeah, I guess for the first 21 years of my life I legitimately didn't know what a ram looked like. On to the game, on paper this an easy game for Argentina, they are so much better than Iceland, and even the best players on the Iceland team have dropped since the euros. In saying this, Argentina has a history of going easy and showing complacency, and that usually ends with them losing or Messi having to score a few to save them. I don't see that happening in this game, I see them going out and going after this Iceland team because they don't have much that can hurt Argentina. I know Iceland can shock the world, but with the defense and more importantly the attack of Iceland, Argentina won't be afraid to push up and play open and expansive football that has helped them become one of the elite teams. For me, the best bet here is the spread at -1.5 (EVEN ODDS)
Predictions: 4-0 Argentina.
After a dominant win for Russia (which we predicted), we are onto our first full day of the World Cup! We will be previewing the other Group A matchup in Uruguay and Egypt. There are so many headlines going into this game, and I can't wait to watch and preview this to help us (DST and the beautiful people reading) go 2 and 2.
DST World Cup Record: 1-0
Uruguay (-1) vs Egypt
Uruguay: (-1): EVEN
Egypt: (+1): -120
Egypt go into this game in a bit of limbo, we all know they are a one-man team, we also know Mo Salah will not be 100%, but the main question is will he start? In my opinion, he will obviously start. Not because he is healthy, or should it's because without Mo Salah, this Egyptian team is so bad it's actually funny. Uruguay is very different, in the past, they have had a few issues at tournaments, but now they are in their best form as they have Luis Suarez, Edison Cavani banging in the goals, Diego Godin stopping the other team from scoring and of course their deep midfield who is being forgotten about by media. I said this yesterday with regards to Golovin on Russia, there are levels at the World Cup, and some players are too good for some of these poor defenses, and this is the case again as Uruguay should be demolishing this backline who is slow, and just flat out not very good. This is going to be fun to watch, Can one Mo Salah carry his teammates, coaches and the hopes of millions of Egyptians on one shoulder? He can't, and they will lose this game pretty easily. The spread at even odds is too good to pass up on.
The DST "First Goal Scorer Prop: 10/3 For Cavani FIRST GOAL
The World Cup is finally here! The first game is upon us as we have the two best and non-sketchy teams who always play by the rules in Russia vs. Saudi Arabia! The Soccer noobs always think of the World Cup as the month where Messi, Pele, Neymar, etc. have shown their best and became superstars, but everyone knows that having the two worst teams at the World Cup battle it out on the first game is the perfect start! In all seriousness, I can't wait, even though this game is pretty shitty, it's the World Cup so there will be emotion, great moments and the crowd will be crazy. So let's break it down.
Russia vs Saudi Arabia (Group A)
Saudi Arabia: (+844)
All eyes will be on Russia as they kick off the first game against probably the best opponents for them in Saudi Arabia. Obviously, the Russians go into this game as huge favorites as they are the home team and of course their talent which is a million times better than Saudi Arabia. The two players we have to focus on for Russia is Fyodor Smolov and the Manchester United, Juventus and Chelsea target Aleksandr Golovin. Golovin, turned 22 this year and looks like one of Russians best talents we have seen in decades, as he can score, pass and is versatile enough to play against other systems (unlike most of their players). Smolov on the other hand, in 21 appearances he scored 14 goals in the Russian league with six assists, and with his pace and finishing, he can cause a ton of problems for an inexperienced and just flat out bad Saudi Arabia backline. To be frank, I can't see anything but a big Russia win. At -243, even as a lock, I would stay away from Money Line, but the -1.25 spread at +105 is a great bet.
As for Props, I would take Feder Smolov to score at first at 3/1 odds.
The World Cup is just DAYS AWAY! Finally no more bullshit transfer rumors, stupid friendlies and watching the MLS as the worlds biggest celebration is upon us. As always we will be previewing every match in Russia, but first, we have five picks/predictions that are going to make you some MAJOR MAJOR money. So without stalling let's get into it!
Denmark Will Be The Dark Horse Of The World Cup
Denmark had a pretty triumphant road to the World Cup as their star Christian Eriksen dazzled and pretty much single-handedly buried Ireland in the playoff and now they are showing in their friendlies they won't take any prisoners. Coming off a big 2-0 win over Mexico, they have shown that they can beat not just Europes tough teams but also the teams that they aren't used to. Every major international tournament has a team that get's pulled over and shatters their ceiling due to the heroics of one player, and that's going to be Eriksen, he has been on fire for Spurs and Denmark, and I don't see him going down in a pretty favorable group. Even though France will top this group, I don't see Peru or Australia having enough to stop the Dane's as they will get into the knockout stages and indeed make some noise.
Portugal Won't Make It Out Of Group B
Portugal shocked the world in 2016 as they beat the host country France in the European Championship final thanks to Ronaldo but also their role players genuinely stepping up. The main one was younger Renato Sanches, he was the talk of the town two years ago after a fantastic Euro, and now he is shit. He went to Bayern and has now been downgraded all the way to Swansea, as he looks like a one-hit wonder. Even though I love Ronaldo, and I understand how good is he, his group is tricky as they have a revamped Spanish team, and two strong teams in Morroocoo and even Iran who can make noise. This will be a summer to forget for Portugal.
Lionel Messi Will Win The Golden Boot
At 10-1 odds Messi is favorite to win the World Cup Golden Boot, and usually, I don't go for favorites (that's why I lose money in horse racing every day) but today is different. This is Messi's final chance of World Cup glory, and after a dominant season with Barcelona, he's ready to light Russia on fire. Last World Cup, Messi's Argentina lost in the final to Germany even though he got player of the tournament, but now he again has a pretty favorable group, and with Dybala, Benega, Augero and others (Higuain doesn't deserve to be listed yet), he will get chances, and when Messi receives chances he scores. I am so confident with this pick I am giving this my DST lock of the millennium.
Important Note: Most Golden Boot winners do their damage in the Group Stages
England Will NOT Disappoint This Summer
England go into this with loads of pressure, with their media attacking Raheem Sterling, calling the Tottenham players bottlers and Jack Wilshere still crying about not being picked, they have a lot of enemies in their own country. Luckily! The pressure is off now as the English media has a human sacrifice as the actual English Captain David Beckham took one for the team and impregnated his daughters' teacher (allegedly). Now with the media leaving them off for a few days, we can be logical about how good this English team is, They have an incredible attack with Dele, Vardy, Raheem Sterling and arguably the best striker in the world Harry Kane. I see them winning their group (+120) and doing well in the knockouts, they won't win, but they will finally get respect from their supporters.
Note: Three Lions is the greatest World Cup song of all time
The World Cup Winner Will Be......
ARGENTINA! Boom! I had spent the last two years giving up friendships, sex (probably not my choice but still!), and all communications and stayed in DST HQ to break down all the numbers and like four years ago when I predicted Germany (ask my high school science teacher) I have to go for Argentina this summer. Lio Messi is the Lebron James of the World Cup, he drives his teams to greatness just for an idiot to ruin it, but instead of JR Smith, it's usually Gonzalo Higuaín. This team will be trying to get this trophy as they have choked in the last two Copa Americas and this is truly Messi's last chance for World Cup glory. They have a better defense than last time; they have a beautiful mix of youth and experience and of course, their attack! Dybala, Messi, Aguero, Di Maria, and even though they lost Lanzini to an injury they are just too dangerous to stop. Lastly, they have a winning culture. Their best defender won the Premier League, their coach is a winner who also knows how to push his team, he has midfielders who won at PSG and EVERY Striker they are bringing to Russia won their domestic league. They have a winning atmosphere, they have something to prove, and when you have the greatest of all time with his back against the wall, you get history, and we are going to get that.
Odds: ARGENTINA TO WIN (+800)

Now as the break in action is pretty much over, it's time to focus on the World Cup entirely. To get that underway we will come back to previewing specific matches, as our first one is Costa Rice going up against Belgium just outside Brussels in their last tune-ups before they make their way to Russia. This game will be intense, fast and incredibly talented to see who will start for each of these teams. We will break down everything and make sure you guys know who to bet on and root for in this match.
Costa Rica @ Belgium
This is a massive game for Belgium; it's the final match before they make their way to Russia, as they will try to treat their fans to a big win to get their hopes up to the max. As always there are many questions about the Belgian team, but luckily now, it seems like their problems are positive as it's more "who will start" etc., whether then if they are sturdy enough or have the camaraderie to win something. Even though their defense and attack are pretty much set, their top midfielders will try to impress to get a starting chance or be the first one of the benches, which means one thing, BIG PLAYS, and a BIG WIN. Flat out, Belgium at home is always a lock and going up against a team that doesn't have much talent as we saw against England should make this game even easier than ever. So easy, my pick for this game is Belgium -1.5 at -105!
Prediction: 3-0 Belgium.
When I woke up this morning I expected to see maybe a Trump tweet, a girl rejecting me on Tinder or just the normal "Will Tottenham's team crumble this summer?" take but instead we woke up to a pretty big bombshell as Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane was left out of the German squad. Even after his incredible season with Manchester City that helped spur them to the Premier League trophy. Even though I hate Manchester City as a club, it's tough to deny that Leroy Sane is an exceptional talent, who is becoming a household name around the world and would have loved the chance to become one in non-soccer loving countries like the United States (which I believe he would have). The central question is, did he actually deserve to go? And what players who were picked in front of him should leave us not just confused but feel sorry for the City boy.
Julian Brandt (Age 22) - Bayer Leverkusen
One of the more shocking picks was Julian Brandt, the 22-year-old midfielder had a good season for the German side Bayern Leverkusen, was it even close to how good Sane was for City? Absolutely not, the Bayer boy ended the year with nine goals and just a very poor three assists. If Germany has trouble scoring, this pick may be put under a microscope for years ahead.
Julian Draxler (Age 24) - PSG
Even though Draxler had only four goals and five assists all season for PSG this one makes more sense than Brandt. Draxler is an incredibly versatile player who also was on the team that won them the World Cup in 2014. Leroy Sane is the better player but the fact that he has been there and done that has made me not question this move.
When looking at these two, in particular, it's just MIND BLOWING, Sane didn't make it, on all around skill, he is up there with the best Europe, which makes us all believe that this is maybe something off the pitch because it just all doesn't make sense. I genuinely don't know what to make of it, and this seriously hurts the chances of me putting any money on them this summer.
It's been a wild few weeks for UFC's Gorilla Darren Till. He starred in UFC Liverpool while battling a tough weight cut as he beat Wonderboy to get his name in the contender conversation. But it seems like he has broken the internet again with his wacky Instagram story. We have always known Till had this swagger, with his crazy post-fight comments to his "watches Green Street Hooligans once" attire, I can see why people love him. Now though he takes on his toughest opponent, trying to kill the stigma of eating your Boogers. People don't like to admit it, but there are a few things we all do in the privacy of our own house. Whether it's dutch-ovening yourself, flexing in the mirror or eating your boogers, we all say we don't, but most people in the world have. In saying this, I have never eaten a Booger in my life. But after seeing this video, it's hard for me not to, like while I'm here with an empty stomach wondering how to get the capability of kicking anyone's ass, there is a man just munching down on these boogers and having superhuman striking. I am not going to come here and say we should all start doing this, but if Till does it? Would we be wrong to de-stigmatize this act? Just some food for thought.
