As the United States take the ice tomorrow against our dreaded rivals, Canada, I thought we would look at one of the biggest factors in any sport, the jerseys. Deion Sanders once said "U look good u feel good,u feel good u play good,u play good they pay good, they pay good u live good,u live good u thank God 4 it all! TRUTH". This is exactly why we need gorgeous jerseys as it seems on paper Canada are 100 times better than us and we need all the help we can get.
Well, the only place we can start is the crest. We see in sports some teams try to make their logos over complicated or even worse, too big for the jersey and credit to Adidas because they made it perfect. The only part I dislike is that I feel like the red strip on the arm should be a bit smaller or maybe put the player's jersey numbers on them. Wrapping it up it is a very Adidas-like jersey as it is simple and has their famous three lined detail on the jersey which is on there no matter what the sport.
Most likely the reason why these are so different is to sell more, but I like how different it is from the home jersey. I think the jersey looks clean and simple with the perfect amount of red, unlike the home. The "USA" logo is very nice, and even though it is huge, it is still the perfect size. I think this is exactly what you want in a white jersey from Adidas. It is so simple but still has enough color change where it isn't dull. Big thumbs up for this one.
After seeing these and the others, I gained a lot of excitement about Adidas getting the NHL jerseys starting the 2017-18 season. They followed in their Soccer jersey concept with their three lined detail with simple colors. I think every NHL fan should be excited and optimistic that the NHL sweater is in good hands.
