Listen, guys; I am not going to sugar coat what happened last week, I fucked up big time. I felt it in my stomach that our week one parlay wasn't going to win, and it didn't. But now that players are finally back from the Euros and the squads have more chemistry it's time to start the run of winning parlays. This week I decided to go with three games instead of four as many of the matches this week are a gambler's worst nightmare.
Manchester City v Stoke: (-145)
After a DOMINANT 5-0 win on Tuesday in the Champions League Manchester City visit Stoke City in a match that has the potential to be an upset. But the biggest factor for me is Sergio Aguero, going up against a back line of Stoke City that lacks quality and with goalkeeper Shay Given in net, I just can't see Stoke being able to stop Aguero or even Raheem Sterling who has looked more motivated and determined under new manager Pep Guardiola. I can't see any way for Stoke to get anything from this match even if Shaqiri and Arnautovic play well due to their leaky defense.
Score Prediction: 3-1 Manchester City.
Predicted Manchester City XI:
Caballero, Kolarov, Stones, Otamendi, Sagna, Silva, Fernandinho, Nolito, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero.
Predicted Stoke City XI:
Given, Pieters, Shawcross, Wollscheid, Bardsley, Imbula, Allen, Arnautovic, Bojan, Shaqiri, Diouf.
Crystal Palace V Tottenham Hotspur: (-220)
After a disappointing draw in their first match Tottenham host Crystal Palace to kick off the final matches at their home White Hart Lane. This week has been very busy for both clubs as Tottenham's captain Hugo Lloris was diagnosed with a hamstring injury which will make him not eligible for this match. And for Crystal Palace, they are on the verge of signing Liverpool striker Christian Benteke for 32 million pounds to try to fix their goal scoring issue that seems even more prevalent now that Yannick Bolasie has left the club to join Everton. But, even if they do sign Benteke before Saturdays match it doesn't seem too likely he will start which make ex-Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, the true danger man for Crystal Palace. Who on his own isn't enough to break down Tottenham's defense. On the other side of the pitch, Palace's defense is very mistake prone which is not what you want when you are playing last year's Golden Boot winner, Harry Kane. With everything surrounding the game the supporters and the players will be up for it so I can't see anything but a Tottenham victory.
Score Prediction : 3-0 Tottenham
Predicted Tottenham Hotspur XI:
Vorm, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Wanyama, Lamela, Alli, Eriksen, Kane.
Predicted Crystal Palace XI:
Hennessey, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare, Cabaye, Ledley; Zaha, Puncheon, Townsend, Wickham.
Everton V West Bromwich Albion: (+160)
West Brom is coming into this match with the better week one result as they got all three points against Crystal Palace as Everton drew with Tottenham. But the real storyline for this match is that this could be the match where we see the two new Everton signings Ashley Williams and Yannick Bolasie. Out of the three games that I have picked this is the hardest one to call due to the boring style of West Brom's manager Tony Pulis which makes them very hard to break down and beat. But the reason I am choosing Everton to win this match is that their attack is significantly better than WBA's, and I feel that Ronald Koeman will set up Everton in a way that will stop WBA's only genuine threat Salomón Rondón.
Score Prediction: 1-0 Everton
Predicted West Brom XI:
Foster; Dawson, McAuley, Olsson, Evans; Phillips, Fletcher, Yacob, Gardner; Rondón, Berahino.
Predicted Everton XI:
Stekelenburg; Holgate, Jagielka, Funes Mori; McCarthy, Gueye, Barry, Baines; Barkley, Deulofeu, Mirallas.
Safe betting this weekend guys, until next time. COYS.
